Im kinda leaning toward 3d art but any jobs will do.

AP Art is not a degree; it is a course taken for college credit, but in my experience, the credits are not transferrable. You will not be able to find a job just by taking AP Art.

Depends on the school. The school’s website/catalog will give you that info, but 120 credit hours is the usual requirement for most majors. Fine Art may be different, as there are many studio courses required, along with "foundations" courses, which may carry different credit hours.

You bet! Owning your own business opens the entire world to you. There’s not much you can do for your own business. A few words of caution though: take lots of business courses. That will help you to get a bigger picture about what controls the markets you enter, understand how to select your merchandse for sale, and more things than I know to tell you about! A master’s degree will also contribute to your ability to be in the driver’s seat for your business. Don’t be controlled by the markets, be in control of them.

What is the REAL difference between the two? I already have an entry level job with a great company.. but which looks better for a job? PS – My current job is as an e-commerce data assistant for an online shopping site.. But I MIGHT want to move on to accounting, or some kind of office technology.. I know my ideal job should be in an office and with computers.. What is the best degree to keep my options open?

its just classification, depending no the type of degree you obtain. if it is a study of art then its an aa, like theatre, english, et al, but a science, like chemistry or biology is a AS

Oh, and if anyone is doing/has done a foundation degree do u know what the approximate amount of hours in college are? as I am thinking if there’s a lot of time to spare, I will get a part time job :]

Most foundation degrees are a BTEC, so you get a pass, merit, distinction. (Or a referral or fail)

Mine was full-time. 4 and a half days (half day for lectures).
And its the same on my degree course too. Though I’m on a pretty intensive fine art course. Some degrees only have to turn up to uni a few times a week, its a bit different cause I’m all studio based.

9-4ish. Sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on how much work we have to do.
Not many people want to hire anyone for an hour or so each evening, and Saturdays. But give you lots of time off when you have an assignment due.
Hardly anyone in my class has managed to get a job with such un-regular hours. Just piling it all in in the holidays.

You can get EMA on foundation courses though.
I’m just living off a loan :/

No, you’d need probably at minimum a degree in social work or some kind of certification that you are licensed to dispense "therapy".

Of course, you can get just about any job with just about any degree. But yes, art school would be beneficial, especially a major related to design. Depending on what type of work you would want to do, you could also look into also getting a degree in communications. Just make sure you look for opportunities to do internships, as these jobs are hard to come by.
