I want an architecture major but will I be able to take courses like foreign languages or art also?

Architecture isn’t what I’m 100% with. But it’ll bring more food to the table unlike a digital art major or art eduation or asian studies (as my parents tell me…) but I would still like to take a few of these courses along with architecture. But if architecture is so time consuming and demanding…will I be able to take on my asian or art courses at the same time?

Yes, you’ll have some classes called "electives" to take, where you can take pretty much whatever you want.

What’s the difference between Art Institutes, and Art Schools?

I don’t know whether i should be looking for art schools/universities/colleges, or art institutes…? What’s the difference???

The difference between a university and college, is that a college offers a 4 year degree. A university offers Masters (6 year) and Doctorate (8 year) degrees. The only Art Institute I am familiar with is the Art Institute of Chicago, and it is a museum. I would stick with a college or university in my search for education.

What are some good colleges that have good art programs, preferably graphic design programs?

I know there is the Art Center and I know CSULB has a decent program. However, I’d appreciate having some other alternatives.

Thanks in advance.

What are the different routes to becoming an art teacher? Do you have to have an art degree?

I’m changing from an art psy degree to a degree in education with the intention of becoming a primary school teacher. My only reservation is in dropping art as I’ve always had a passion for it. Would it still be possible to become an art teacher at a high school in the future or am I restricting that opportunity?

There are generally 3 ways in most states to become an art teacher. (or any teacher for that matter)
BSEd: Major: Art Education
or
After earning your Bachelor’s degree (any subject)

MAT: Major: Art Education (in some states it’s an MEd., but that’s more a matter of different names for the same thing). 2 years of graduate study

additionally some states offer a 1 year certificate to become a teacher.

Can anybody recommend any intermediate art courses in Liverpool-it’s a present for my mum?

My mum is 75 but has a love for art, painting & design. She’s only an intermediate but I’d like to buy her for Xmas a 10 week course in a type of art. I’m certainly no artist but perhaps this might be in impressionism. I’m looking for a recommended community college probably that concentrates on the arts? Any help greatly appreciated.

Try Liverpool Community College. They have an arts centre on Myrtle Street. They also do courses for leisure, not just academic ones. If you don’t want to send your mother into town there are also local ‘DISCS’ run by the college. These are in most areas. The contact number for the college is 01512521515. Hope this helps!

What are some really good schools for obtaining a degree to become an Art Director?

Preferably the most noted? Online schools are a plus, but on campus study is also appreciated!
Location is not a concern! (Just need an idea of what the best art schools are) Thank You!

Dear ,

For my latest project, I has been searching for almost one week on the same topic and found this.
